The Training Manager reports to the President and is responsible for :

    • Creating the plans for, then coordinate the construction and maintenance of, a comprehensive Employee Training program for our company
    • Plan, develop and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, LMS training modules, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops
    • Create and manage new employee mentoring programs
    • Working with the e3 Leadership Team, determine training requirements for all roles and levels
    • Working with our many equipment supplier/manufacturers, as well as in-house experts, gather, develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials; assist external trainers with preparing training programs & material - leverage existing training resources/materials and resources where practical
    • Prepare training budget
    • Personally deliver training where practical
    • Conduct/arrange for ongoing training and personal development classes for e3 personnel
    • Implement learning management system
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement
    • Analyze training needs for organization to develop new in-scope training programs and modify/improve existing programs
    • Confer, coordinate and cooperate with key internal and external stakeholders about training opportunities and initiatives, aligning previously established core concepts whenever required
    • Performs a variety of duties with frequent interruptions or distractions, adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
    • Delivers train-the-trainer programs for division, department and job-specific trainers as identified throughout the organization.
    • Co-develops training materials as needed.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience developing and supporting professional training programs to include Sales teams
  • Thorough knowledge of adult learning techniques
  • 4 Year Degree required; CPLP certification preferred
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Effective presenter with ability to influence adult learners with diverse professional backgrounds in a variety of classroom environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • 30% travel – domestic
  • Audiology background – desirable but not necessary


Physical & Visual Acuity Requirements

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
