The Events Manger position will manage and execute from start to finish all aspects of trade show and training conferences for both internal company and external customer events. In addition, will support and work closely with members of the Executive Team, including Sales, Marketing, Audiology and Training. This person will direct and manage multiple vendors, and be responsible for detailed project management and budget. Responsible for developing and executing a wide variety of events, ranging from major international trade shows to local and regional training seminars. In addition this individual will be hands-on in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of events whether for customers or company staff. This includes creation, planning, coordination and execution. Position will collaborate with other managers across departments in a matrix organization. This position reports to Director of Meetings & Events

      • Manage and execute corporate, B2B conferences, events and training seminars. Also manage and execute internal company events for employees.
      • Project manage each event from start to finish including the planning, budgeting, execution for each specific event
      • Oversee all event tactics and activities: logistics, hotel, booth/space needs and design, A/V, signage, staff, collateral, vendors, shipments, invoices, schedules and timelines, etc.
      • Manage all vendors, partners and customers with respect to event presence and activity.
      • Own additional aspects of events including: booth assets, collateral, signage and giveaway inventory.
      • Negotiate favorable contracts with vendors in line or below set budgets.
      • Research potential hotel properties for upcoming events.
      • Execute and manage RFPs including vendors needed to support an event
      • Collaborate with Marketing to develop communications, promotions and recruitment materials for each event, and potentially for materials at the event.
      • Responsible for managing and tracking event calendar for our events across departments to ensure appropriate resource allocation, facility scheduling, etc.
      • Manage and track cost for each project and event and set up parameters to determine ROI
      • Hold regular Events meetings with appropriate Marketing, Sales, Training, IT and Business Intelligence team members as needed.
      • Work closely with Marketing and Field Sales to make sure leads at each event are being tracked and captured appropriately.
      • Create and execute a marketing plan to promote company presence at each event.
      • 5+ Years Event Management Experience in a conference, exhibition or corporate setting. 
      • BA/BS Degree required
      • Hold CMP certificate (Certified Meeting Planner) - preferred
      • Must have expertise with large tech and/or consumer tradeshows and small (20 participants) to large (1500+ participants) conferences/seminars.
      • Should have vendor contacts and be well-versed in all event terminology and best practices.
      • Hands-on task execution that requires the attitude and ability to get things done
      • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet aggressive deadlines
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure
      • Strong Leadership & Effective People Management Skills
      • Creative and innovative 
      • Extensive experience and success as a Project Manager
      • Solution oriented
      • Fully competent in Microsoft office, Excel, PP, Word
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Proven success presenting to Executive Leadership #LI-AK1
